Find iPhone App Developers

Friday, September 11, 2009

Hi Everyone,

I had the pleasure of speaking with Gregg from iPhoneAppQuotes.com. iPhoneAppQuotes.com is network that helps companies find the right app developers for their project and budget.

What happens is quite simple; you request a quote, then you get a call from the iPhoneAppQuotes team. They assess your needs, identify the top 3 developers in their network that are suited for their project, and then those companies can submit bids for your business. It is a pretty great model, and it is free for anyone to request a quote.

Here is a bit more about the company:

iPhoneAppQuotes.com is the premiere source for entrepreneurs and business people to find iPhone App developers. Our growing network of experienced U.S. based iPhone developers and iPhone App Development companies can assist you with your project – large or small. iPhoneAppQuotes.com takes the hassle out of posting a job with a head hunter, on Craigs List or having to sift through endless profiles of “qualified” developers on other websites or forums.

iPhoneAppQuotes.com is owned and operated by Optimum Lead Generation, LLC and based in South Florida. We are not associated with Apple Computer and we are not iPhone developers ourselves, although we do have a strong technical background. What we do is simply match people with a need to find iPhone Developers, while providing a service for iPhone Developers who would like to receive qualified, pre-screen leads to help grow their business.

Gregg and iPhoneAppDevelopers.com are both great resources if you are interested in building an app. Here is more about working with their network of mobile application developers:

All iPhone Developers in our network are based in the U.S, have at least 1 App in the App Store, and have passed a screening process given by our staff. If you are an iPhone Developer looking to grow your business, please visit our Apply page or contact us. Read testimonials from iPhone developers in our network.

The company was just written up in the Wall Street Journal, in an article called Smartphone Apps Fuel Business. They have also been featured on WebProNews.com with a story called Businesses Increasingly Looking to iPhone Apps and in MobileMarketer.com in a piece titled iPhone App Development Trends Shifting Rapidly: Study.

Comms Day Interview: Search to usher in the mobile marketing revolution?

Friday, April 17, 2009

Before SMX Sydney, I had the opportunity to talk to Laraine Davis from CommsDay, which is an Australian publication that focuses on the telecom industry. Petroc Wilton did a great write up on the conversation. I can’t find a version of it live on the web, so I included it below. Enjoy!

Search to usher in the mobile marketing revolution?

The unique properties of mobile search could be a key piece of the mobile marketing puzzle – but it risks being stymied in Australia by high mobile data charges, according to Rank-Mobile founder Cindy Krum. Ahead of her presentation at the Search Marketing Expo next week in Sydney, Krum spoke to CommsDay about the marketing potential of mobile search and future directions the technology might take.

Because the mobile platform can offer carrier-specific ‘on-deck’ content search and specialised search applications in addition to transposing conventional web search engines, argued Krum, advertisers must open their eyes to a gamut of new ways to channel users to their sites. But they also have new opportunities to tailor their content. “Mobile is one of the most personal marketing platforms,” she told CommsDay. “It knows who you’re calling, it knows your calendar… and it knows what you’re searching for online. That makes it really great for marketers because we can really take that information and tailor our marketing message with it.”

In addition, Krum continued, mobile search is frequently employed outdoors, opening up opportunities for industries that see little benefit from conventional search activity on home PCs. “People like restaurant [owners] are really missing out on the mobile opportunities…people use mobile search when they have an immediate need to fill,” she said. “Companies that haven’t done a particularly good job with internet marketing really have a huge opportunity with mobile… there’s a lot of market share to be moved.”

However, Krum warned that high data charges in Australia are likely to be a real stumbling block, with users wary of big bills for browsing. “That’s going to really slow down the adoption of mobile marketing, because there’s such a disincentive to search,” she said. “In the US, we’ve just got all of the carriers offering flat-rate data pricing… that’s kind of the tipping point.”

Looking to the future, Krum forecast a more device-agnostic search paradigm. “I see mobile search going to a lot of different devices, because I see more and more devices becoming webenabled,” she said. “I see the search engine starting to take those devices into account more. Even within that, different devices have different demographics… the search engines can detect what device you’re on, so they could start to include that in the algorithm as a means of personalisation.”

Rank-Mobile Has A QR Code

Sunday, March 8, 2009

Hi All!

I just used www.qrcode.kaywa.com to create a QR code for my blog. I had the option to make the QR code pull up text, a url, a phone number or send an SMS (a text message). I chose SMS, because I knew I could include a url and email address in the SMS, and they would all become clickable when it was sent as an SMS. The text message says:

“Thanks for visiting www.Rank-Mobile.com. Please email me at cindy.krum@rank-mobile.com or call me at 720-231-7277 if you need help with your mobile marketing!”

And here is the QR code:

Let me know if it works!
